Answer by xcentaur(357)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2X^2-6X+1=3
2X^2-6X+1-3=0
2X^2-6X-2=0
2[X^2-3X-1]=0
X^2-3X-1=0
Compare to standard form,
a=1
b=-3
c=-1

Root 13=3.6055=3.606

x=(3+6.606)/2 AND (3-6.606)/2
x=4.803 AND -1.803

Solution Set={4.803,-1.803}

best of luck.
