step 1 - distribute on both sides to get

step 2 - combine like terms to get
(iii)
step 3 - subtract 2x to get
(iv)
Since this is not possible, we say
No solution.

5(x+3)-3(x+4)=2(x-3)
5x + 15 -3x -12 = 2x -6
2x + 3 = 2x -6
3 = -6
That is a contradiction.
There is no solution for the problem.
