Question 256530: I would like to know how to graph the equation
y=(x+1)^2-2
Answer by drk(1908) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is a quadratic equation.
You can graph via paper / pencil as -
vertex = (-1,-2).
put in x = 0 and we get y = -1; (0,-1)
put in x = -2 and we get y = -1; (-2,-1)
Plot these coordinates and draw the parabola.
You could graph via graphing utility and get
