} Factorise this by thinking what two number times together to give -6 but add up to give -1? We have -3 and 2.
so x must be either 3 or -2, because one of the brackets has to equal zero.

Here is the original question:
x^2=x+6
I assume you want to solve for x.
step 1 - get everything on one side = 0. LIke this
step 2 - factor like this
step 3 - solve each (_) part like this
x - 3 = 0
x = 3
x + 2 = 0
x = -2.
So we have -2 and 3.
