Question 250964: Find the x intercepts
y = x^2 + 4
Answer by vksarvepalli(154) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the point where the graph cuts the x axis gives the x-intercept
at this point y=0
so put y=o in the equation
we get 0=x^2 + 4
so, x^2 = -4
this gives x= +2i and -2i
which are imaginary
i.e, there are no x intercepts on the real axis
