Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(y+5)(y-1)=27
y^2+5y-y-5-27=0
y^2+4y-32=0
(y+8)(y-4)=0
y+8=0
y=-8 ans.
y-4=0
y=4 ans.
Proof:
(-8+5)(-8-1)=27
-3*-9=27
27=27
(4+5)(4-1)=27
9*3=27
27=27
