Hi,
This is polynomial. Put simply, a polynomial is when you take different (non-negative integer) powers of x, and add lots of them together. One way of grouping polynomials is by their highest power of x. In your example the highest power of x is 3, and this is called a cubic polynomial.
A quadratic is a polynomial where the highest power of x is 2. So for a polynomial to be quadratic the highest power of x must be exactly 2.
