First of all, x cannot be -2 or 1 because that would make the denominator of one side equal to zero.
Now remember that if this was an equal sign, we could just cross multiply. But with an inequality, you can do that as well! So using cross multiplication gives us
3(x - 1) > 2(x+2) <-- cross multiply
3x - 3 > 2x + 4 <-- distribute
x > 7 <-- gather like terms.
So the solution is x > 7.
