x=-b-&+b square2-4ac
I dont get this please help?

any quadratic of the form ax%5E2+%2B+bx+%2B+c+=+0+ can be solved by putting the values of a,b and c into the quadratic formula:
x = %28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28b%5E2+-+4ac%29%29%2F%282a%29
so, put your values (taken from the equation x%5E2+%2B3x-10=0) into that formula:
x = %28-3+%2B-+sqrt%283%5E2+-+4%2A1%2A%28-10%29%29%29%2F%282%2A1%29
x = %28-3+%2B-+sqrt%289+%2B+40%29%29%2F%282%29
x = %28-3+%2B-+sqrt%2849%29%29%2F2
x = %28-3+%2B-+7%29%2F2
so either x=%28-3+%2B+7%29%2F2 or x=%28-3+-+7%29%2F2
which gives x=4/2 or -10/2
so x= 2 or x=-5
