Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x*x)+1=3x
x^2+1=3x
x^2-3x+1

x=(3+-sqrt[-3^2-4*1*1])/2*1
x=(3+-sqrt[9-4)/2
x=3+-sqrt5)/2
x=(3+-2.236)/2
x=5.236/2
2.618 ans.
x=(3-2.236)/2
x=.764/2
x=.382 ans.
