Question 2004: How can you find the vertex of a parabola if you only know the roots or zeros?
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
from the roots, work backwards to find the equation. However, you will not be sure if it is the +ve or -ve version...the n-shape or u-shape.
The vertex is equidistant between the 2 roots, so if roots are at x=2 and x=6, then the vertex will be at x=4..then sub in the equation to find y at this point.
