Question 194706: i cant solve this quadratic equation by factoring, -56 = 15x + x^2....exept it is just a x with a 2 ubove it but that is wat it means
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
adding 56 ___ 0 = x^2 + 15x + 56
8 times 7 is 56
8 plus 7 is 15
factoring ___ 0 = (x+8)(x+7)
so x=-8 AND x=-7
