Question 163119: I am trying to rearrange the following equation to solve for INR. I recognize the equation as a type of quadratic, but get confused about the reciprocals.
Thank you for your help.
CFX = 0.99 + (52.5/INR) + (52/INR^2)

Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiplying by INR^2 __ CFX(INR^2)=.99INR^2+52.5(INR)+52

subtracting CFX(INR^2) __ 0=(.99-CFX)(INR^2)+52.5(INR)+52

using quadratic formula __ INR={-52.5ħsqrt[(52.5^2)-208(.99-CFX)]}/[2(.99-CFX)]
