Divide both sides by 7 and you get xsquared=12, and taking the square root of both sides and you will get x=2squarerot of 3.

Whenever you take a square root, ALWAYS remember the negative version too! It is VERY important.

x^2 = 84/7
x^2 = 12
x^2 - (Sqr12)^2=0
(x-sqr12)(x+sqr12)=0
(x-sqr12)=0 or (x+sqr12)=0
x = -sqr12 x = +sqr12
