Question 142662: Find the slope. Will someone please help with this?
(2,5) (3,-9)
Answer by zephyr(9) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simple. :D
First, you subtract the Y's from each other, and i'll start from the first coordinate. but you can switch them if you wanted.
now you subtract the X's from each other. but be sure to use the same order of coordinates.
and put that into a fraction, y on top of x. So like we did it, it would be
But you want that over a positive one, so let's switch the negative sign.
and that's your slope!
Or, to check, you could do it the other way. (but since you already know how to do it, i'll just show you the steps, without explaining)
Whaddaya know ^^ same answer XD.
