Answer by nabla(475)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From the second equation, y=2x-7. Plug this in for y in the first equation.

<-- Substitution
<--- expand all terms
<---combine,cancel
<--- solve
Now, plug this value for x in the second equation:
The solution set is (5,3).
Check:
2(25)-3(5)(3)+9=50-45+9=14
2(5)-3=7
