(x + 4)^2 = 81
Take the square root of each side to get:
x+4 = 9 or x+4 = -9
x = 5 or x = -13

x^2 + 6x + 2 = 0
x^2 + 6x + 9 = -2 + 9
(x+3)^2 = 7
Take the square root to get:
x+3 = sqrt(7) or x+3 = -sqrt(7)
x = -3+sqrt(7) or x = -3-sqrt(7)
