Question 135476: The vertices of the rhombus ABCD are A(-7,3),B(2,8),C(7,-1)and D(-2,-6).
a) Show that the opposite sides are parallel.
b) Show that the diagonals bisect each other.
I found the slopes to be : AB=5/9,BC=-9/5,CD=5/9,and AD=-9/5 so the opposite sides are parallel. For part (b) I found the midpoint for AC (-4,5) and BD(0,1). I think I may have this part wrong. Can someone please help me ???

You seem to be doing all the right things to me. Just check the point you found to be the midpoint of AC.
