Do the operations inside of the inside parentheses first:

4 - 9 = -5, and 4 - 3 = 1, so:

Where there is a choice, do multiplications and divisions before you do additions or subtractions:

3 * -5 = -15, so:

Do the insides of the remaining sets of parentheses: -15 - 2 = -17 , and 6 - 1 = 5

Answer: -22
