(4/3)x^2 - 2x + 3/4 = 0 I assume this is the problem.
a=4/3, b=-2, c=3/4
if the determinant, b^2-4ac is >=0, then it has a real solution.
b^2-4ac=4-4(4/3)(3/4)
=4-4=0
Because the determinant equals zero there is only one answer (0.75).

Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4/3x^2-2x+3/4
Using the quadratic equation: we get:
x=(2+-sqrt[-2*2-4*4/3*3/4])/(2*4/3)
x=(2+-sqrt4-4)/(8/3)
x=(2+-sqrt0)/(8/3)
x=2/(8/3)
x=2*3/8
x=6/8
x=3/4 answer.
