Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=(x-4)(x+2) I am having trouble graphing the parabola.
-----------------
X-intercepts:
If y = 0, x= 4 or x = -2
Plot (4,0) and (-2,0)
-----------------------
y-intercept:
If x = 0, y = -4*2 = -8
Plot the point (0,-8)
----------------------
Since coefficient of x^2 is positive, the parabola opens up.
------------------------
With those three points and knowing it opens up you should be
able to sketch the parabola.
-------------------------
