Simplify the logarithmetic expression
log 1000 - log(10^-1) + logsqrt10
---------
Comment: log means "exponent"
You want the exponent of 10 that gives you 1000; that is 3
You want the exponent of 10^-1 that gives you 10^-1: that is -1
You want the exponent of 10 that gives you 10^(1/2): that is 1/2
---------------------
= 3 - (-1) + (1/2)
= 4 1/2
