Question 1205763: Solve the system using addition/elimination method. If there is exactly one solution, write as an ordered pair. If not, choose one of the other options.
{(4x,-,4y,=,16),(2x,+,4y,=,14):}
A. One solution:
B. No solution
C. Infinite number of solutions

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20054)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

{(4x,-,4y,=,16),(2x,+,4y,=,14):}

Why the commas??

Add the equations term by term and the -4y and the +4y
will cancel out. Then you can solve for x, then substitute
that number for x into either of the other equations, then
you can solve for y.
