using the quadratic equation:
r=(3+-sqrt[-3^2-4*1*-9])/2*1
r=(3+-sqrt[9+36])/2
r=(3+-sqrt45)/2
r=(3+-6.7)/2
r=(3+6.7)/2
r=9.7/2
r=4.85 answer.
r=(3-6.7)/2
r=-3.7/2
r=-1.85 answer.
