Question 1184611: Determine whether each equation is quadratic or not. Write Q if the equation is quadratic or N if not before the item number.
1. x ^ 2 = x + 4
2. 3y - 4 = y + 1
3. m - 2m ^ 2 = 1 + m ^ 5
4. A = pi * r ^ 2

In order for an equation to be a quadratic equation, it must have:

1. no variable in any denominator or root.
2. at least one variable to the second power.
3. no variable to any power other than the first or second power.

Use those 3 rules to determine which are quadratic equations and which
aren't.
