.

An equation is

     = 0

where each linear binomial factor is ASSOCIATED by the OBVIOUS way with the roots.

It is the same as

     = 0

which is EQUIVALENT to

    (3x+1)*(5x+2) = 0.

To get the standard form of a quadratic equation, make FOIL to get

    15x^2 + 6x + 5x + 6 = 0,

Combining like terms, you get the FINAL ANSWER

    15x^2 + 11x + 6 = 0.

Determine the equation of the quadratic given roots-1/3, -2/5
The answer must be in the form ax^2+bx+c=0
:
We got
x = - 1/3
3x = -1
3x + 1 = 0
and
x = -2/5
5x = -2
5x + 2 = 0
FOIL (3x+1)(5x+2)
15x^2 + 6x + 5x + 2 = 0
15x^2 + 11x + 2 = 0 is what I get
