Question 1141406: How do I solve for x for the equation x^4-11x^2+10=0? I don't know how to make it into a quadratic equation. No similar example appears to be found on my Algebra books.
Answer by josgarithmetic(39630) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-------------------
x^4-11x^2+10=0
-------------------
Look at 10=1*10, and both factors negative.
and you can then solve for all four possible solutions of x.
