3*J + 2*S = 78.03      (1)

2*J + 3*S = 74.47      (2)


Apply the Elimination method. Multiply eq(1) by 2 (both sides); then multiply eq(2) by 3.  You will get


6*J + 4*S = 2*78.03    (3)

6*J + 9*S = 3*74.47    (4)


Now subtract eq(3) from eq(4). You will get


      9S - 4S = 3*74.47 - 2*78.03

      5S = 67.35    =================>  S =  = 13.47.


Substitute this value S= 13.47 into eq(1) and find J:


     3J + 2*13.47 = 78.03

     3J = 78.03 - 2*13.47 = 51.09  ============>  J =  = 17.03.


ANSWER.  $17.03 for Japan and $13.47 for Switzerland (in equivalent money units).
