Use Vieta's theotem:



    For any quadratic polynomial with the leading coefficient 1
 
    the sum of the routes is equal to the coefficient at x taken with the opposite sign,

    while the product of the roots is the constant term.



Then you MOMENTARILY get the equation


    x^2 - 1212x + 1616 = 0.
