The simplest such function is  

    f(x) = (x-1)*(x-(-9)),             (1)


the product of two binomials  (x-1)  and  (x-(-1)), associated with the roots.


Right side (1) can be simplified

    f(x) = (x-1)*(x+9).                (2)
