Question 110399: Find the axis of symmetry
y=x^2+7x+10

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Axis of symmetry= -b/2a
y=x^2+7x+10
a=1, b=7, c=10
-7/2=-3.5
.
Another way is to find the average of the x intercepts
(x+5)(x+2)=0
x=-2, x=-5
(-2-5)/2=-7/2=-3.5
