for a parabola with the vertex at (h,k) ... y=a(x-h)^2+k ... f(x)=x^2-4x+4+4 ... f(x)=x^2-4x+8
b=-4 and c=8
the coefficient of the x^2 term in the original equation is 1 so a=1

Standard form of the quadratic equation
The vertex point is (h,k).
h=2 k=4
f[x]=a(x-2)^2+4
=x^2-4x+4+4 (let a=1)
=x^2-4x+8
So, b=-4 and c=8
