Property 1
Product of Means = Product of Extremes

Property 2
If a:x::x:b i.e. x^2=a*b, then x is known as the mean proportion of a and b

Property 3
If a:x::b:x i.e. b^2=a*x, then x is known as the third proportion of a and b

Property 4
Duplicate ratio of a:b is a^2:b^2 and sub-duplicate ratio of a:b is sqrt(a):sqrt(b)

Property 5
Triplicate ratio of a:b is a^3:b^3 and sub-triplicate ratio of a:b is root(3,a):root(3,b)

Alternando Rule
a:b::c:d then a:c::b:d

Componendo Dividendo Rule
a/b=c/d => (a+b)/(a-b)=(c+d)/(c-d)

If a/b = c/d = e/f, then a/b = c/d = e/f = (a+c+e)/(b+d+f)
