Question 997919: 14/24=m/12
Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The simplest way to look at this is to ask "What did you have to do to 24 to get to 12?" Oh, we took half of it. Thus you take half of 14 to get m = 7.
You could always cross-multiply and solve, or just multiply both sides by 12.
