Question 993327: write an equation and solve
a train is traveling 62 mi/hr and has to go 372 mi. How long will it take the train to make the trip?

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rate * time = distance.

rate is equal to 62 miles per hour.
distance is equal to 372 miles.

equation becomes:

62 * time = 372

divide both sides of this equation by 62 to get:

time = 372 / 62

solve for time to get time = 6 hours.
