A store stocks pine and spruce seedlings in approximately the ratio of 7:2
let x be the no of spruce seedlings to be ordered
7:2 = 24:x
multiply with x on both sides
multiply with 2 on both sides
divide with 7 on both sides
x= 7 ( rounding off to nearest whole number )
Result: no of spruce seedlings to be ordered = 7
