I thought I knew how to use proportion because I got one of he quiestions right ( A menu has 8 Appetizers and 6 Entrees choose 1 appertizer and 1 entree I put down the answer as 24 combinations, but I dont remember how I worked it.) because 8*6 isnt 24 niether is 7*5 or 8*6-2. FOR EACH APPETIZER YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF 6 ENTREES.
APPET#1 WITH THE 6 ENTREE CHOICES GIVES YOU 1*6 CHOICES.
APPET #2 YOU ALSO HAVE 6 ENTREE CHOICES ANOTHER 1*6 CHOICES.
SO FOR EACH APPETIZER YOU HAVE 6 ENTREE CHOICES OR
8*6=48 TOTAL CHOICES (not 24).
