Question 839720: which numbers in the following group of numbers represents the smallest amount? 7, .8, 31, .33, 2

Answer by LinnW(1048) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The key to this is to rewrite each number with the same number
of digits to the right of the decimal point.
So 7, .8, 31, .33, 2 become
7.00 0.80 31.00 0.33 2.00
You can think of putting these in order from lowest to highest
0.33 0.80 2.00 7.00 31.00
So 0.33 is the smallest. Let me know if this helps
