Question 793871: The sides of a pair of rectangles are proportional. Find the missing height. The large square has a height of 12 and a width of 18. The small rectangle's height is x and the small rectangle's width is 12. The small rectangle's height is what must be found.
I tried to do the problem, but I don't know if I am setting it up correctly. For example, I tried:
12/x = 18/12
144/18 = 18x/18
x = 8.
I don't know if that is correct. I haven't done these types of problems in almost a year.
