Question 714330: When finding the unknown value can you cross cancel
Answer by jndarrell(58) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
After setting up your proportion, the next step is to cross multiply.
Make sure though that your numerators are the same unit of measurement and same for the denominators
Example:
cm/in = cm/in NOT cm/in = in/cm
or
mile/hour = mile/hour
Hope this helps!
