x/12-x = 5/15 CROSS MULTIPLY.
15X=5(12-X)
15X=60-5X
15X+5X=60
20X=60
X=60/20
X=3 ANS.
PROOF:
3/(12-3)=5/15
3/9=5/15
1/3=1/3
x+10/x-6 = x/x+4
(X+10)(X+4)=X(X-6)
X^2+14X+40=X^2-6X
X^2-X^2+14X+6X=-40
20X=-40
X=-40/20
X=-2 ANS.
PROOF:
(-2+10)/(-2-6)=-2/(-2+4)
8/-8=-2/2
-1=-1
