Question 680375: After teaching ratios and porportions and using them in word problems I have an idea for my students to create a snowman on classroom door using three circles. I want the activity to apply to our math lessons. I need help figuring out a scale or just exactly how to set up problem. We have done a chocolate chip cookie recipe where the ingredients were given for 10 students and they had to figure the proportions and fix the recipe for 15 students. This is for 6th grade.Any suggestions?

Try 3:5:8 as a set of proportions for a reasonably good snowman. Note that this is three consecutive Fibonacci numbers.
