Is this saying that 1 mm on the scale model is 45 mm on the actual car. So is the length of the car 45mm times 85 mm? I am having problems seeing a car in mm.

It is. 45 * 85 = 3825 mm, convert that to meters if you want
3825/1000 = 3.825 meters is the length of the actual car
