A SEAMSTESS IS MEASURING A MODEL FOR A NEW DRESS. THE TAPE MESAURE IS MARKED IN CM. THE SEAMSTRESS NEEDS TO CONVERT THAT MEASURMENT INTO INCHES. IF THE MODELS WAIST MEASURMENT IS 65.4 CM, WHAT IS THE CONVERSOION IN INCHES?

Put 65.4cm over 1 like this
Make a unit fraction using 1in = 2.54cm with the 2.54cm on the bottom
to cancel the cm on the top of the first fraction

Then cancel cm
×
= 25.7480315in round that off as you're told.
