6 inches is one-half foot. There are 18 half-feet in 9 feet. So, 18:1

Note: 9 ft = 9*12 = 108 inches

Length of Car: Length of Model

9 ft: 6 inches

108 inches : 6 inches

18 inches : 1 inch

18:1

So the ratio is 18:1

This tells us that the car is 18 times longer than the model.
