_____ = x/6 write in lowest terms. please explain?
5 1/2
What I have is 6 1/3 = 19/3 =38/6
5 1/2 = 11/2 =33/6
=71/6
You converted the numerator properly to 38/6
You converted the denominator properly to 33/6
Dividing the numerator by the denominator you
should get 38/33 as the left side of the equation.
So, 38/33 = x/6
x=6(38/33)
x=6.9090.. or 76/11
