Step 1. Multiply by 8 to both sides of the equation

cross%288%29q%2Fcross%288%29=8%2A4%2F5

q=32%2F5

Step 2. Check solution q=32%2F5 and substitute into q%2F8=4%2F5+

%2832%2F5%29%2F8=4%2F5+

%2832%2F8%29%2F5=4%2F5

4%2F5=4%2F5 which is a true statement

Step 3. ANSWER: Solution is q=4%2F5+
