if they are equal then when we cross multiply we should get equal terms

75%2F86=15%2F16
:
86(15)=75(16)
:
1290=1200
:
NOPE,close but no cigar these are not equal fractions.

if you have equal fractions such as 5/10 and 1/2
:
1%2F2=5%2F10

2(5)=1(10)
