Question 156420: if u need the other question that helped u get the proportion here it is
a rock climber burns 60 calories for every 5 minutes of rock climbing
now use the proportion 60 calories over 5 minutes to solve this
now use that proportion i just wrote to determine how many calories yhe rock climber would burn in 7 minutes
Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = calories burned in 6 minutes
.
Your proportion would be
60 calories x calories
------------ = ----------
5 minutes 7 minutes
.
cross multiplying we get:
5x = 7(60)
x = [7(60)]/5
x = 7(12)
x = 84 calories
