Question 12764: The ratio of teachers to assistants to children at a day care center is 2:1:9. Of the 96 people at the center, how many of them are children?
Answer by kusha(21) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The no. of children is {9/(2+1+9)} x 96 = 9x8 = 72
i.e. The ratio of children divided by the total of all the ratios and then multiplied by the exact no. of total people.
The principle is based on the unitary method.
